| Paul Weber founded the family-owned enterprise in 1949 as a mechanical workshop. In the enterprise's new building, located in Stuttgart-Uhlbach, machine-tools were hauled over. Parts for vehicle hydraulic and textile machinery were manufactured. In 1953 the first vacuum press tools were created in collaboration with Dr. Schiedt, Max-Planck-Institute, and with the Robert Bosch company. These tools served for the specimen preparation of infrared spectroscopie procedure, back then developed by Perkin-Elmer. In the same year Paul Weber constructed a precision hand-press, specially adjusted to the needs of the new press-technology. Since then a continuous expansion of the company's program began. Since decades P/O/WEBER's lab press technology has the reputation of excellent precision and extraordinary long-life products. Also the company is famous for individual solutions, matching with the client's special requirements and tasks. Today 3D-CAD-systems optimize the construction of presses, components and tools. CAM-systems help in work disposition. The most modern CNC-technology is applied in manufacturing. All P/O/WEBER lab press technology systems match the security norms laid down in the machinery guideline of the European Community and hold the CE-certification. Constructive changes if further technical development is concerned are subject to change without notice.
